SINMAH AMEGAJAYA HEALTHCARE (SAH) was established as an entity that specialises in developing and managing hospitals as well as any organisation which is medical based. We also provide project management and engineering consultancy for our clients when they require it.

At SAH, we are confident with our ability to delivered as expected because we have a team of dedicated and experienced professionals who are at the fore front of their expertise. Our team consist of individuals who are specialised in Healthcare, Management, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Healthcare Insurance, Medico – Legal Défense, Architectural Design, Structural Engineering, Property Management and Development as well as Information and Communication Technology.

With this strong and solid foundation, we are able to optimise designs and construct technologically advanced healthcare facilities which are able to operate efficiently and with an optimised Capital and Operational Expenditure.

He is the Chief Executive Officer of the company. He graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1984 and subsequently completed his internship at Seremban General Hospital. He went on to complete his General Surgical training and passed the Fellowship in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians at Glasgow, Scotland. He subspecialized in Cardiothoracic Surgery at University Malaya Medical Center and did Fellowships at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond Virginia, USA and further cardiac surgical training at Southampton, Oxford and London.

He returned in 1994 and subsequently set up the first cardiothoracic unit in Malacca and did the state’s first open heart surgery in 1995. He has been in the private sector since.

Apart from heart surgery he is active in new methods in resuscitation including chest trauma and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. As a result of his wide experience in setting up acute care units and cardiothoracic surgical units, he has wide in-depth knowledge in medical planning.

He is currently helping plan the expansion of University Putra Malaysia’s Medical Faculty, the planning of University Sabah Malaysia’s Medical Faculty and the Medical Faculty, Teaching Hospital and Private wing of the National Defence University’s Medical Faculty at Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.

Hoh Koei Teng is a Director of Sinmah Amegajaya Healthcare Sdn Bhd. He joined the SINMAH Group of Companies in 1988 as an Accountant and currently holds the position of General Manager, Operations of the SINMAH Group as well as director of various companies within the SINMAH Group. Prior to joining the Sinmah Group, he has worked in various organisations.

Mr George Tan is the Financial Analyst and Strategist at Amegajaya Medical Planners Sdn Bhd. He started his career in 1981 with Touch Ross International, Malaysia while pursuing the ACCA. His audit career which spanned 5 years has exposed him to a spectrum of clients in various industries, namely financial institutions, property development, oil & gas, manufacturing and other sectors. Subsequently he joined several public-listed companies (Sri Hartamas Corporation Berhad and MBf Holdings Berhad) holding senior finance positions in Malaysia before embarking on a short stint with a merchant bank in Australia. During the 90s, George took up expatriate appointments in Jakarta, Indonesia. He was among the first few Malaysians then to participate in the liberalization of the Indonesian financial sector (known as PAKTO 88). He set-up the first Indonesian-Korean JV multi-finance corporation in Indonesia and helped to bring in a Korean bank to Jakarta. To expand on the multi-finance business, George was involved in several acquisitions of stock-broking companies licensed by the Jakarta Stock Exchange. Later, he joined another public-listed company, a unit of an Indonesian conglomerate, and was focused on corporate affairs that include M&A, financial restructuring and corporate re-engineering. George also held several honorary appointments including as Secretary of the Malaysian Business Club – Jakarta, EXCO of the Leasing Association of Indonesia and Founder-member and Treasurer of the Factoring Association of Indonesia. In the decade of 2000, George returned to Malaysia and subsequently held the position of Regional General Manager of a public-listed company, whose job scope covers Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia and was principally involved in opening of new markets, establishing new joint-ventures, government relationship and improving performance of existing operating units. In 2009, George formed his own consulting firm that provides corporate advisory, private equity and real estate services. He also holds a MBA from SMF, St. Gallen, Switzerland. Currently, George also holds the portfolio as Director of Strategy and Finance in Amegajaya Medical Planners Sdn Bhd, a leader in the medical planning and consulting industry in Malaysia, and a registered medical consultant with the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia.

He has several academic qualifications which include the following - B.Soc. Sc. (Hons) USM (1973); Dip. PA (Malaya) (1976); M. Sc. (Town Planning) Wales (1980); and PhD. (Local Government) Wales (1987). While serving in the Government, he has been bestowed with several honorary awards as follows - Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) (1994); Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP) (2000); Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM) (2001); and Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) (2001).

He has served the Government for nearly 33 years until his mandatory retirement on the 8th December, 2005. Apart from his formal duties as a public official (before his mandatory retirement from the public service), he was also involved in the activities of professional bodies in which he is a Registered Town Planner with the Board of Town Planners Malaysia; a Corporate Member of Malaysian Institute of Planners (MMIP) and is also a Certified Quality Management System Assessment Auditor (IQA, UK).

Mr Rushdan is a Consultant Medical Equipment and Medical Planner at SAH. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Polytechnic University Brooklyn, USA and has over 12 years of experience gathered in various hospitals where he was the Project Engineer, Assistant Project Director and Coordinator on the fixed and major engineering medical equipment from planning documentation, and implementation until handing over. Initially, he was involved in the planning, design and documentation of Melaka General Hospital (150 Beds) and the government-turnkey hospital in Pandan, Johor (704 Beds).

His professional career developed upon appointment as the Resident Engineer for the Langkawi Hospital (120 Beds). Upon completion of the contract in Hospital Pandan, Johor in 1999, he has since undertaken several high-profile hospital projects and medical training institutions including Kluang Hospital, Jasin Hospital and Kinta Training School for Medical Assistants. He is currently appointed as Technical Director for Amegajaya Medical Planners Sdn. Bhd. and leading the management and coordination work for the planning, procuring and commissioning for the Quest International Teaching hospital (840 beds) and Campus in Ipoh, Perak.

Dr Murali Ganesen is the Associate Medical &Operational Planning for Sinmah Amegajaya Healthcare. He graduated from Crimea State Medical University, Simferopol, Ukraine with Medical Degree.

He started his medical career in Miri General Hospital, Sarawak. Subsequently, he ventured into his own business, dealing with complementary medicine and skin care products. He was actively involved in conducting General Healthcare Talks and Electric Field therapy.

He joined Qualitas Medical Group as a Clinical Audit Manager. During his tenure as a Clinical Audit Manager, he was tasked with auditing the clinical aspect all of Qualitas owned clinics in Malaysia. He created the Clinical Audit Template for the organisation. He was tasked with ensuring that all the clinics were compliant to Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia requirements. Through the audit, he was able to link the bridge between the issues faced by the doctors and nurses to the management. The outcome of the audit was; clinics that were not fully compliant underwent a major improvement to be in compliance with the regulatory requirement.

Subsequently, he was promoted as Business Unit Manager. He was tasked with managing 20 over clinics in the Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan. During his tenure he made sure that all his clinics were performing well both on the financial and operational aspect of the business. He was able to increase the profitability of the clinic by getting the doctors and nurses to perform their day to day duties in a cost-effective manner.

Currently in Sinmah Amegajaya Healthcare, he handles matters that concern the planning of new projects and hospital operational related issues to ensure a smooth and effective work flow to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time with the stipulated budget.

Matron Bebi Kavundiannan is one of the Nursing Advisor for Sinmah Amegajaya Healthcare. She received her Diploma in Nursing in 1985. She holds a Master of Nursing from University of Malaya, which she completed in 2013. She brings on board 31 years of Nursing experience.

She started her Nursing career in 1985 as a Staff Nurse in Hospital Kuala Pilah. She diligently ensured nursing protocols and policies were followed accordingly. She is an advocate of utilizing a systemic approach to nursing. She also ensured that proper guidance was given to junior Staff Nurses who joined after her.

In view of her good leadership skills and attention to detail, she was promoted as Nurse Manager (Sister) in the Health Technology Unit in Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia. During the time here, she was responsible for assessment of equipment, to ensure that all equipment related to the department and hospitals were well maintained and serviced on time. She had also contributed to the Clinical Practice Guide of the Ministry. She was further internally promoted to the Telehealth Division in the Ministry. Here she had contributed to the development of procedure coding for I.T based hospitals.

She was subsequently promoted as Nurse Supervisor (Matron) in 2008. She served in Neuroscience Department, Kuala Lumpur Hospital. In 2009 she was transferred to Selayang Hospital where she was in charge of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department, Emergency Department, General Medicine, Neonatal I.C.U and General Surgery till her compulsory retirement in the Government Service in December 2016.

Given her vast experience in both Clinical and Management in Nursing, she is able to ensure high standard of patient care is practised. Given her friendly nature, she is able to keep a good relationship with both her colleagues and her subordinates. She’s well learned in proper manpower utilization and is able to ensure an effective and efficient financial and operational aspect of a Medical Institution.

Sister Farah Binti Abdul Wahab is one of the Nursing Advisors for Sinmah Amegajaya Healthcare. Her Nursing career spans 36 years, from her humble beginning as a Nursing Assistant to retiring as Nursing Sister in charge of Accident & Emergency, Selayang Hospital.

Initially, she had worked in Hospital Daerah Banting and subsequently transferred to Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (“HKL”). This transfer kindled her interest to further her studies and received her Diploma in Nursing. This was because of the exposure that she had received in the in HKL, being the main referral hospital in Malaysia during the early 1980s.

As a Staff Nurse, she not only showed keen interest in management but also interest in multiple medical disciplines. This prompted her to continue studying three Advance Diploma’s in the field of, Accident & Emergency, Orthopaedics and Midwifery. All this studying proved valuable when she was promoted as a Nursing Sister in 2009.

In 2009, she was posted to Selayang Hospital. She was in charge of the Accident & Emergency Unit. She was able to play the leadership role very well given her humble beginnings and her vast educational background. She was the key coordinator for conducting Traumatology related Continuous Nursing Education for Staff Nurses and Head Nurses.

Besides her official duty, she is also State Nursing Officer for St John’s Ambulance for the past 25 years. She participates in Nursing Advisory and Management related Seminars.

SINMAH SENIOR MANAGER & SECRETARY

Nolan John Felix graduated with a Degree in Accountancy from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and is a Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountant (“MIA”). He has more than 25 years’ experience covering areas such as auditing, accounting, financial management, taxation and risk management. Prior to joining the SINMAH Group, he has worked in well-known professional auditing firms.

Currently, he oversees the financial reporting, risk management, internal audit and secretarial matters of the Sinmah Group.

SINMAH HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCE

Mr Kalai Chelvan Muniandy joined the SINMAH Group since June 1996. Prior to joining the SINMAH Group, he has worked in Education Ministry and Plantation Industry. He graduated from University of Malaya and also has completed the Master in Occupational Safety Health and Risk Management. Mr. Kalai Chelvan Muniandy also a Certified Trainer and a Competent Safety & Health Officer with DOSH and CIDB. He is also a Committee Member of Human Resource FMM Melaka State. He has been dealing in the field of Human Resources, Administration, Safety & Health, Training, Education, Industrial Relations, Public Relations, Halal, Quality & Productivity, and Auditing, ISO certification expertise in various industries over the past 27 years.

SINMAH MIS ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

Chung Cheng Yuan graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Information Technology (Major in Computer Science) degree from The University of Southern Queensland in Australia. He joined the SINMAH Group in 1995 as Computer Programmer. Currently he is the Assistant General Manager of IT department where he develops, implements and manages the entire corporate IT system. Many systems have been implemented over the years to ease the groups operation, and one of the most remarkable in-house developed system is the FPS system, which is used to track and provide real time information from production, distribution, stock movement and integration into back office accounting system.

MEDICAL ENGINEER EXECUTIVE

Mr Mohd Bakhtiar is the Medical Engineering Executive for Sinmah Amegajaya Healthcare. He graduated from local college, Kuala Lumpur, with Diploma in Architecture. He was actively involved in Interior Design Architecture in past 17 Years. Working with several ID and Architecture consultants that involved Hospital, High Rise and F&B. He has completed more than 10 private Hospitals in Malaysia and Indonesia.
